I had recently come across the problem of my wacom intuos tablet producing a heavy squeak whenever I rested my arm on it. It is not an isolated issue as others have had it happen as well. it is not anything that affects the functionality of the device, it just becomes annoying a it can get quite loud.
  Wacom counts this as unintended and can offer repair, but this is unnecessary. If anyone comes across this issue, albeit less common and only an inconvenience, the resolution is simple. Unscrew the back of the tablet and open it up. Be careful, obviously, and make certain everything is in its place. Asdjuct the prastic cover, and then screw it back together ,but not as tight. By intentionally leaving some of the screws a bit loose it lessens the tension beteen the plastic top and back alleviating the squeak. A big thanks to my great friend for assisting me with this.
   As I said before, it isn't a huge important issue, but it's there for anyone who has the annoying squeak grating their nerves when they are working.

Thanks man, keep up the good work. <3

Or... maybe your tablet's actually a mouse that's been transfigured in to a tablet by those crazy Voodoo priests at the Wacom factory XD;

That's odd. I've never had that problem. Does it only happen with Intuos, though? 'Cause I have a graphire. Although..We've got about 10 Intuos's at my school, and none of them have had that problem so far. Maybe just luck.

I'm uncertain if it is only with Intuos. I only have an Intuos 3, and I know that it is subject to this issue. beyond that, I cannot say.

i have an intuos 3 at school and i tried pushing on it and it wouldn't squeak. i probably shouldn't push my luck, though. XD

it tends to be the result of warping from weather changes or a lot of pressure on one side (resting am arm on one side but not the other constantly).
