Anthrocon went well. it is always enjoyable to see my friends on the east coast and take a vacation. The con was generally fun albeit I never really do anything con related aside from the sales room...it's just a chance to relax away from home. It's fun to meet more people around. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and picked something up, I appreciate it.
Speaking of such, there are a few CDs left over and what looks like only a couple Repose portfolios left. These will be sold online in a first come first serve method.
That aside, man Pittsburgh is a filthy city haha. it's like the dirt from everywhere else was having a convention there as well. It's funny to go from a clean hotel room to neglected streets with piles of trash everywhere. I need to go somewhere nice on the east coast, I keep ending up in areas that aren't too great to visit.
Getting back with work here again. I will be trying to toss some stuff up now and again but I have a lot of work to focus on and the book I am working on. I will keep posted regarding goings ons and Angry Viking stuff as well.
Avoiding the internet has been fairly fun, but always work to do.
  cheers~

Hey Axer!!!
Were you in a costume????? I saw some video on Youtube of the Anthrocon. Pretty cool and wild stuff.

In costume? haha, no. Consider that there were 3,000+ attendants and that only about 400 or so were in costume and they were not in costume all the time.

That was pretty much what I looked like at the con; a table jockey.

Y'know, I never quite put my finger on it, but you're right, a lot of those streets around the hotel are kinda dirty. The Market Square down the street wasn't so bad, though. Kinda nice, actually, especially over by the fountain. Eh, maybe the cleanliness will spread up to the hotel someday. ;)

Looking forward to seeing that book. :)

See ya next year?

I'll almost certainly be volunteering again at AA. Next year's gonna be rough, though. World Con + DNC in my home town in August. OMG CRAZY!

No sweat on the email/loose ends. Take your time. :)

World Con is a wandering sci-fi convention (66 years running -- it's in Japan this year!). Niven will be there, woot!

DNC is the Democratic National Convention. Which I can't attend but I may volunteer for.

Haha...I hate that it's in Pittsburgh now as it puts AC out of reach. I'll make time to go next year.

To be honest I'm so used to Philly I never really thought about how dirty it was. XD Can't imagine how bad Pittsburgh would have been.

Good to know you had fun and welcome back~

i grew up in san jose in cali so i was used to a big city with varying levels of..whatever, but we kept our city pretty clean regardless of crime and such. So if you got shot, it wold be in a cleaner alley.
cheers man, hope to see you next year.

Philly's gotten really bad lately so it's probably better AC isn't there anymore.

Scary thought....maybe that's why the crime rate went up...? :p

Haha who knows. I almost miss high crime areas, though.
Where i am living now crime is really low..so everyone gets kinda lousy. People talk big shit and expect nothing to happen to them since most people won't do anything about..anything. If they had a lot more to be afraid of then it would weed that bullshit out. I didn't think I would miss san jose a lot when i left but the more i travel around the more I miss the big city with everything open all the time and people who learn respect through fear instead of following drunken id to be a pain just because they haven't met up with the right person yet.

Mister Axer. Long ago I requested a trade, but you were doing a load of other things.

You're a busy man, I can see that. So I was perhaps wondering if I could provide some further incentive (I am pretty much dying to see my Polnosch character in your uber-crisp, comic-booky style) by requesting not a trade, but a commission. Do you take them? If so, how much would it cost for a body shot?

I don't know what you'd consider nice. If you want to go out in the boondocks you can come to this town. XD It's in the east-ish area. More like the gulf, actually...

Someday I will go to a con...

Pittsburgh's a pretty cool place. You should go shopping in the strip before AC next time. It's an even trashier, more colourful part of the city that gets overlooked.

I'll be sure to go shopping before the sun sets since everything seems to close about that time. I've never seen a city so dead at night.

Oh yeah, Strip starts closing down the big stores at 5. I imagine you'd need to be a native to find any fun there in the evenings.

Personally, I don't like the idea of being in Pittsburgh at dark.
