It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Was thinking of doing this and am not sure if there would be enough interest to bother. Hit me with a reply or an email at axer_industries@hotmail.com to let me know if you would be interested in something like this. and I mean interested and willing to do it, cuz i need to gauge it realistically.

The basic idea is a raffle. 5 dollars for a spot, a maximum of 10 spots for any one person. While you can buy up to 10 spots, you can only win one prize. It just ups the odds of getting a prize. Payment accepted would be payment via mail by a deadline date, or paypal. The total entrants by the deadline date would be geiven the amount of bought spots and assigned a number per entrant and then from this pool 6 winners would be chosen. The prizes would be as follows, from first choice to 6th:

1) a single character full colour commission (no porn)
2) a single character B&W 11 x 17 commission (no porn)
3) A Leigh Portfolio print set
4) Axer 2006 Art CD
5) Axer 2006 Art CD
6) Axer 2006 Art CD

Obviously prize 1 and 2 are the big draw here. At 5 dollars per spot, the tradeoff would be pretty good for the winner(s) as far as commissions go, it'd essentially be a steal. Anyway, wanted to bounce this out there, hit me back an let me know if you are interested.

I'm all for it. I've been waiting for a chance like this for awhile and while it's not a sure fire commission it's a good chance at one. I'll keep an eye out and watch out for this because I would be more than willing to be in for a few spots if you decide to do it.

I have the perfect character in mind if I do win, but a colored version might make your eyes bleed. XD
